Okay, so maybe I AM crazy. Having gotten rid of my Super-8 years ago, I'm shopping around for a new one.
Anyway, does the idea of projecting up Super-8 images from at least two different sources onto the back of a horizontal screen to draw mattes or to allow for compositing of images as crazy as it sounds? Is there some type of prism arrangement that would allow the images to have the same axis when projected onto the screen? I understand the principles of opticals but not so much the mechanics of optics.
I think I can work out the problems of registration and such, but am I wasting my time on this concept. I think I read about this in a book by Lenny Lipton some 25 years ago, but of course, I don't have the book now.
If all this has been covered on this forum, sorry for the repetitive question.
